Writing Tip #2: Picking a Genre



WHEN writing a story 📝—ofcourse dapat may mapipili kang genre—genre na kung saan ay magiging suporta mo doon sa istorya na iyong isusulat kung sakali. Sa pagpili ng isang genre—nasa iyo na yun kung ano nga ba ang gusto mo 😌

If you are given a chance to write a story or a novel itself, what genre are you going to pick? 🤔

• Action? 🔫
👉 Are you also a trouble maker? This genre consists of danger, risk and an excitement one. Magsisilabasan na rin diyan ang mga grupong tulad ng gangsters, assasins, mafia, yakuza at marami pang iba.

•Fantasy? ✨
👉 Where it consists the realm of magic, dragons, princesses, elves, and faraway kingdoms. And also a series of the most unexpected events come to life. Dapat malawak ang iyong kaisipan sa mga bagay na imposibleng mangyari kumbaga makapaglikha ng isang pantasya.

•Horror? 👻
👉 Are you even brave enough to write this kind of genre? Where it consists of creepy tales of eerie encounters, urban legends and the unknown. Mas matapang ka pa dapat kaysa sa bida riyan because you will take a risk of writing this kind of genre.

•Mystery? 🔪
👉 Do you love solving mysteries? Yes? Oh well, Welcome to the world of mystery, crime, and intrigue then! Where you can investigate psychological thrillers, blood boiling murders, and ofcourse it includes detective stories.

•Poetry? ✍
👉 Do you love writing poetry? Where you can immerse yourself by means of writing poems about love, life, and also the human experiences. Poetry rin ang makatutulong sayo para mailabas mo ang iyong hinanakit, upang maibsan ang nararamdaman mong sakit.

•Romance? 💏
👉 Where it consists all about love, heartbreaks, relationships, and such. You can start writing from sweet young romance to a steamy new adult.

•Teen Fiction? 💁
👉  Ride the emotional rollercoaster of young adulthood with this free coming-of-age stories on love, friendship, highschool drama, popularity, and some awkward teen moments.

•Vampire? 🌑
👉 Minsan ka na rin bang nabitin sa istoryang Twilight? At ninanais mo ring makapagsulat ng sariling mong version? Well, sink your teeth into writing about century-old love, coven drama, and paranormal transformation.

Hindi ko na naisulat rito ung iba dahil hindi naman masyado ginagamit 🙅 pero ofcourse as a writer sympre you have to explore different kinds of genres because here I just stated the MAIN genres that are being used often by the authors 😅

But if you are going to ask me 🤔, I currently use the genre TEEN FICTION sympre bukod sa teenager ako ay naisusulat ko rin doon ung mga karanasan ko bilang isang kabataan. Well most of my stories 📚 in Wattpad are classified in the genre of teen fiction bihira lang akong mag-fantasy, or horror pero sympre I would try my best para makapaglibot rin sa iba pang mga genre 😎

Now, I would like to ask you again,

IF you are going to write a story, of course merong POINT OF VIEW . Ano nga ba ang point of view or POV? 🤔 Well, ang point of view ay kung sino ang character na nagsasalita or nagna-narrate sa isang particular na chapter. TWO types of POV lang naman ang ishe-share ko sa iyo since dalawa lang naman ang commonly used POV ng mga writers: ang 1st and 3rd POV. WELL according to Jane Austin, “If a book is well writen, I always find it too short.” Which is really TRUE . Kapag nagbabasa ka ng magagandang nobela, nakakainis na nakakalungkot lang kapag nararamdaman mo ng palapit kana sa epilogue. Mostly na mga tanong ng readers ko sa akin: Paano nga ba makakapagsulat ng isang KWENTO ? 🤔 How to write GOOD ? 🙄 Here I will be sharing 3 tips for you guys: 1. READ GOOD BOOKS 📚 THAT WAS WRITTEN BY GOOD WRITERS 👉 Of course natural lang na dapat magbasa ka ng magandang istorya—hindi naman sa pagiging CHOOSY .
